The Wound Care and Hyperbarics Center at SGMC Health now offers specialized assessment and treatment for first and second-degree burns. This expansion solidifies SGMC Wound Care’s commitment to providing comprehensive and compassionate care for patients in the southeast region of Georgia and North Florida.
Under the leadership of Medical Director Dallas Miller, MD, SGMC Health’s Wound Care team is renowned for treating chronic wounds that have resisted healing by traditional methods. Now, with the addition of burn treatment services, the center can address a broader range of needs for the community.
First and second-degree burns can be caused by scalding liquids, hot surfaces, sun exposure, or minor chemical burns. These injuries require expert care to ensure proper healing and to minimize the risk of complications.
SGMC Wound Care and Hyperbarics now provides:
- Comprehensive evaluation by experienced specialists
- Personalized care plans
- Advanced wound care therapies
- Pain management and infection prevention
- Ongoing support and follow-up care
“We are thrilled to expand our services to include burn care. Our goal is to ensure that every patient receives the best possible treatment to promote healing and improve quality of life,” said Dr. Miller. “This addition allows us to provide even greater care to the communities we serve.”
SGMC Wound Care and Hyperbarics is located at 2330 N. Ashley St. in Valdosta, Georgia and can be reached by calling 229-433-5080.
