SGMC Health is pleased to announce the promotion of Erika Bennett to Vice President of Marketing and Brand Experience. Bennett’s elevation to this role reflects her remarkable contributions and leadership within the organization over the past 11 years.
In her new position, Bennett will oversee all aspects of SGMC Health’s marketing and brand experience strategy, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission, vision, and values. She will lead efforts to strengthen SGMC Health’s brand identity and enhance the overall experience for patients and stakeholders across the health system’s 4 hospital campuses and network of primary care and specialty locations.
Bennett began her tenure at SGMC Health in 2013 as a Senior Communication Specialist and most recently served as the Director of Marketing and Brand Experience. During her leadership, Bennett and her team have delivered award-winning marketing strategies, projects, and communication initiatives that have greatly benefited SGMC Health and the communities it serves.

Bennett is a proud graduate of Valdosta State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations. She is an active member of the Public Relations Society of America and the Georgia Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations.
She is married to her husband, Austin, and they have two sons, Bridges and Brody.
