
SGMC Health proudly recognized Sandra Robinson, Pharmacy Technician, and Joyce Calhoun, Environmental Services, as Health System Heroes at the February Board of Directors meeting for their outstanding dedication and compassionate service.
Robinson demonstrated quick thinking and decisive action when she encountered a man in distress outside the hospital. She immediately sought help, called a rapid response, and assisted in ensuring the patient received necessary care. Her willingness to go above and beyond highlights her commitment to SGMC Health’s mission.
Calhoun is known for the kindness and encouragement she shares with patients in the SGMC Health Lanier swing bed program. Whether offering a smile, a kind word, or a song, she brings comfort and positivity to those in her care, making a lasting impact on patients and their families.
SGMC Health President and Chief Executive Officer Ronald E. Dean shared, “The dedication and the profound difference Sandra and Joyce make every day embody the values of SGMC Health and serve as an inspiration to all. They are loving, kind, caring, and committed, and that’s the healing effect.”
The team received a standing ovation from those in attendance.
