SGMC Health is excited to announce the expansion of its SGMC Physician Network via the acquisition of the Urology Clinic of Valdosta (UCV). The practice will operate under its new name, SGMC Urology, and remain at its current location at 3294 N. Oak St. Ext.
UCV has cared for patients in South Georgia and North Florida for more than 35 years. The practice includes urologist Patrick Parker, DO, Bradley Ridge, PA-C, and Shaylese Aycock, FNP.
Dr. Parker is board-certified by the American Board of Urology. He received his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Urology residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. After completing his military commitment in 2017, he began private practice in Valdosta.
Dr. Parker shares that he is excited to join the SGMC Health network. “SGMC Health has experienced immense growth over the past several years, and I look forward to bringing our expertise to the system,” he says.
Access to urological care continues to be a major need across the region and the state. According to Vice President of Physician Network Brenda Alexander, “Partnering with Dr. Parker and his team brings a new specialty to our health system. We expect the community and patients to see several benefits to include seamless access to our system and network of specialists. Another major enhancement will be the addition of a new physician to the practice.”
SGMC Urology will welcome urologist John Losee, MD, to the team in June. “We look forward to continuing to recruit providers in this field, and working with the team to create efficiencies that improve care and the experience offered to patients,” shared Alexander.
