Dr. John Eric Gee, was born in Valdosta, Georgia. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina, graduating top of his class – magna cum laude in 1997. Dr. Gee then went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the Medical College of Virginia, graduating with honors in 2002. He completed his internship and residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine in 2003 and 2007, respectively. He completed a fellowship in Orthopedic Spine Surgery at Florida Orthopedic Institute in Tampa, Florida in 2008. Dr. Gee received his Board Certification from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery in 2010.
Dr. Gee is a Fellow of the AAOS, as well as NASS, Southern Orthopedic Association, and AO Spine International. He has been an active Serviceman in US Navy, accomplishing the rank of Lieutenant Commander of the United States Naval Reserve.
Dr. Gee’s specialty includes the intricacies of spinal surgery. His cutting edge techniques have earned him rank in the Spine Care community where his cervical and lumbar fusions, transforaminal epidurals, laminectomies, etc., have proven successfully distinguishable.
He is married to Dr. Stephanie Gee. They have three children named Lauren, Will, and Alex. Dr. Gee enjoys spending time with his family, martial arts, and long distance running.
