SGMC Health offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) as a piece of our comprehensive employee benefits package.
What is EAP?

All SGMC Health Employees and Employees of Affiliated Campuses are eligible for the EAP service.
What Kinds of Services Does EAP Offer?

- Marriage + Family Counseling
- Substance Abuse Counseling
- Parent + Child Counseling
- Divorce Counseling
- Counseling for Emotional Problems Resulting from Stress or Other Factors
- Counseling for Anxiety + Depression
- Counseling for Grief + Loss
What Does it Cost Me?
Your program includes three (3) phone or video consultations with licensed counselors for you and your eligible household members, per issue, per calendar year.
Is the Information I Share Confidential?
Yes, all information discussed with therapists remains confidential and is subject to Doctor-Patient Confidentiality and HIPAA Laws. In the event that an employee is referred to the program by a supervisor, the supervisor will be notified that the employee has come as requested. However, nothing the employee discusses with his or her therapist is released unless the employee requested it to be released. In addition, employees are able to anonymously report back to the hospital about their perception of the service they received through EAP.
