Lakeland, Ga. – The SGMC Lakeland Villa announces the appointment of Geoff D. Hardy as its new nursing home administrator. Hardy has worked at the SGMC Main Campus for the past seven years and completed SGMC’s Administrator-in-Training program this past summer. In July, Hardy passed the state and federal nursing home examinations and became a licensed nursing home administrator. In his new role he is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the 62-bed SGMC Lakeland Villa, a health and rehab facility in Lakeland, Ga. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma healthcare professional, passing his black belt exam in December of 2013.Hardy received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and his Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Georgia Southern University. Previously, he worked as the logistics manager in Materials Management at South Georgia Medical Center.He is married to Valdosta Dentist Heather Colson Hardy. His hobbies include golfing, cooking and watching Georgia Southern football.
