Stacy Branch, RN Valdosta, G.A- South Georgia Medical Center announces that Stacy Branch has been named Associate Inpatient Director of 3W and 5W. Branch will be responsible for the operations of floors 3W, general surgery and 5W, medical and inpatient oncology. These floors are nursing units that provide care to patients 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. She will also coordinate staff and quality improvement efforts on these units. In her new position, Branch’s goal for her department is to promote teamwork among the unit staff as well as other departments throughout SGMC. “I also hope to ensure that when patients are on 3W or 5W they receive the up most quality care,” says Stacy Branch. Branch graduated from Valdosta State University in December of 1996 with a Bachelors’ of Science, Nursing. She began her career at SGMC in March of 1997. She has a medical/surgical certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and a Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification through the Oncology Nursing Society. Branch currently serves as a chapter chair for the Local Georgia Nurses Association chapter, South Georgia Nursing Collaborative. She resides in Lakeland, Georgia with her husband Walt and their two children Devon and Caitlyn.
