The Care Share Committee at SGMC and Smith Northview Hospital, a campus of SGMC, held a drive on Friday, February 8th to provide assistance to the victims of Hurricane Sandy. A total of 40 boxes were collected. Employees were asked to donate items such as household linens, clothing, shoes, toiletries and diapers. All items collected were boxed up and shipped out to families in Far Rockaway, New York and distributed by St. Gertrude’s Church in this community.
