Mayor Gayle Visits SGMC

Valdosta Mayor John Gayle toured South Georgia Medical Center on Wednesday, April 4th to better acquaint himself with the vast services and specialties provided at the medical center. After being introduced to members of the administrative teams representing SGMC and SMITH Northview, the Mayor toured the Pearlman Cancer Center, Information Services, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the operating room, the emergency department, the construction sites for both the new patient tower and parking deck, the Imaging Center, Surgery Center, Patient Financial Services and EMS Station One. CEO Randy Sauls said, “We welcome the opportunity to familiarize the Mayor and others with the vast array of services offered at SGMC. We are a progressive hospital with many services that are unique to South Georgia. Our elected officials are our advocates in the community and we think it’s important to partner with them for greater understanding and community awareness.”
