Lakeland, Ga. — Dr. J. Michael Sharon, MD., F.A.C.O.G has joined Lakeland Family Care Center, an affiliation partnership with South Georgia Medical Center, Louis Smith Memorial Hospital and Southland. He will begin seeing patients once a month from 2 to 4 pm starting Wednesday, October 2nd. Dr. Sharon is a board certified OB/GYN. Appointments can be made to see Dr. Sharon at the Lakeland Family Care Center by calling 229.242.8888 or 229.482.8585. Dr. Sharon maintains a private practice at Azalea Women’s Center in Valdosta. At Azalea Women’s Center, Dr. Sharon and his staff are concerned with maintaining women’s health and providing medical care to women throughout their adult life. His practice of gynecology includes preventive medical services through regular exams, annual pap smears and other screening and management services such as bone density testing for osteoporosis. Other services include: testing for urinary incontinence, hormone pellet therapy, menopausal management, infertility, urogynecology, vaginal and abdominal surgery. Dr. Sharon is board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Sharon completed his undergraduate degree in biology at Yale University. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Emory University School of Medicine. He also completed his internship and residency at Emory. He is a member of several professional organizations including the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Georgia Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
