$3,000 check in memory of Mrs. Eula Copeland presented to the Partnership Cancer Fund

Rivers, Sr., presented a check of $3,000 to Robin Miller and Bridgett Young, committee members of the Partnership Cancer Fund and employees of South Georgia Medical Center’s Pearlman Cancer Center.  The fund is used to financially assist cancer patients who live in or receive treatment in Lowndes County with medications, nutritional needs, transportation and medical equipment.   This presentation was made in memory of Mrs. Eula Copeland who passed away from cancer in January of this year.  Ms. Copeland was the founder of the Hahira Cancer Day that started four years ago and continues in her memory. The committee for the Hahira Cancer Day includes: Freeman S. Rivers Sr., Gloria Miller, Crystal Jackson, Shayla London, Gail Lane, Mary Turner, April Turner, Oudia Lane, Eleanor Walker, Hilda Ross and others.
