Hospital-Based therapy services are provided to patients in the medical and surgical units of South Georgia Medical Center needing therapeutic services. Therapies include physical, occupational and speech-language therapies. Our therapists work together with case managers, social workers, acute care nursing staff, physicians and family members to evaluate a patient’s current condition and determine subsequent level of rehabilitation care.
Therapists help patients gain back their previous functional status as well as refer them to the next appropriate rehabilitative level of care.
