We assist patients with a variety of impairments, functional limitations and disabilities. We help patients achieve their highest level of functional independence so they can return to the community.

SGMC provides a number of rehabilitation services.

Hospital-Based Rehabilitation

Hospital-Based therapy services are provided to patients in the medical and surgical units of South Georgia Medical Center needing therapeutic services.

SGMC Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit helps patients who have suffered from functional loss due to a disabling illness or injury.

Outpatient Rehabilitation

Outpatient rehabilitation is a form of therapy where patients travel to a clinic or hospital to attend sessions and then return home the same day.
