SGMC Participates in Safe to Sleep Initiative


Every week three infants in Georgia die due to sleep-related causes, many of which are preventable. Today, SGMC launched a Safe to Sleep initiative in partnership with the Georgia Children’s Cabinet and the Georgia Department of Public Health to prevent sleep-related infant deaths.

Valwood fundraising benefits SGMC


The Valwood School pre-K, teachers and faculty, along with VSU sorority representatives presented a donation of $1,156.34 to the SGMC Foundation as part of the Coins for Crayons fundraiser benefiting the SGMC Pediatric’s Unit. The pre-K students also presented a basket of crayons and coloring books in addition to the money which will be used for new video games on Peds.
