2012 Love Light Tree to benefit Stories of Healing Campaign

Posted on: December 1st, 2012

During December, you can honor or memorialize a loved one by donating a tax-deductible gift of $15 or more to the South Georgia Medical Center Love Light Tree during its “12 Days of Giving” holiday appeal.  This traditional end-of-year giving program isn’t just a celebratory way to bring in the holidays. The appeal also serves as a tool for the SGMC Foundation and the SGMC Volunteer Auxiliary to ask for your financial support for medical center. It’s our hope that in recognition of the excellent medical care and service that area patients have received, they will make a donation gift as a way to say “thank you.” This enables SGMC to continue our mission with expanded services and the best, state-of-the art technology.  For each gift to the Love Light Tree, a personalized ornament will be placed on the holiday tree located in SGMC’s main lobby. In addition, a card acknowledging your gift will be sent to those whom you request we notify. All gift amounts are kept confidential. This year, the Love Light Tree has the theme of “12 Days of Giving” in hopes to raise $12,000 dollars for the “Stories of Healing” campaign for the Dasher Memorial Heart Center and patient tower project.   The $4.1 million campaign is halfway to reaching its goal; however, we need your help.  Please contribute today to the “12 Days of Giving” by visiting us online at www.sgmc.org/donatenow or contact Elizabeth Vickers at the SGMC Foundation 229.333.1077.
